Specialty Menu

Dainty

Dainty works of art come in varying sizes from as small as nail art to as large as the design pictured here which is about 4 inches in length. These works are typically minimalist in style but can be more realistic as well.

Large

Fine Line is perfect for large pieces requiring precise and delicate linework such as a full spine with dainty details and wrapping designs with elegant intricacies.

Minimalist

Simplistic design featuring crisp outlines paired with minimal details & shading, keeping the design clean and avoiding overwhelming clutter. Minimalist designs are easily read by the eye and are tiny tattoo friendly.

Realist

Featuring shading in all but highlight or negative space areas, with intricate details and a variety of tones to create imagery that closely resembles reality for a defined image utilizing multiple shading methods.

Typographic

This style captures the details of your selected font (or handwriting) including dainty lines, curvatures, varying widths, and decorative quirks. The more accurate the typography, the more legible your text reads.

Ornamental

Designs built primarily on shape and structure are used to create a decorative piece that elegantly highlights the placement of the tattoo. This style is typically used for sternum, back, shoulder, shin, upper thigh, and elbow.

Abstract

Fluid or distorted style that bends reality for a more artistic and expressive design. Abstract designs minimize or combine real world figures and emphasize organic shapes and patterns such as the flowing snakes in this example.

Geometric

Brother of the ornamental style, the geometric style utilizes larger shapes combined with imagery and/or typography for a more masculine structure that balances simplicity and detail, while alternating perspective with rotated text and shapes leading the eye.

Sketchbook

This style uses linework to create shading and breaks the image down into shapes, resembling a sketch-like design that embraces artistic tattooing. This style can also be paired with shading and pops of color.

Silhouette

This style pairs heavily packed ink and negative space to create high contrast between skin and ink. Utilizing Fine Line in this style increases detail ability, while keeping that daring bold vibe.

Color Pop

Color pop is a new style offered which combines any of the styles listed above with pops of color. Lish removed color pop services years ago following Europe’s ban on most colorful inks due to chemicals. However, it’s back with EU REACH Compliant colorful inks!

The week prior to your appointment, Lish will draw up your design and send them for you to review via email. This allows you to request changes and sit with your design without pressure (no people pleasing, no anxiety seeing your design for the first time day of).
Follow the Precare Instructions provided in your Acceptance Email (avoid sun exposure, moisturize the area, drink water, and avoid excessive caffeine).

Stencil Placement

STEP ONE

A stencil is a print out of your design which can be transferred to your skin very temporarily, serving as a guide for your artist. A few size variations will be printed for you and we will transfer it using a sensitive skin friendly solution.
Stencil Approval

STEP TWO

Placement requires thoughtful consideration. Once the stencil is placed, you will have the opportunity to review in the mirror or via photo and video for less viewable placements (spine or behind the ear). Once approved, we’ll move on to Step Three.
Tattoo Time

STEP THREE

Once your tattoo bed/chair is set and you are in a suitable position based on your tattoo placement, we will begin with a small line so you can see what it feels like in that particular placement. Once you’ve given the OK, we will continue and complete your tattoo.
Grand Reveal

STEP FOUR

Once we have finished, you’ll be able to see your completed artwork for the first time! You’ll have a little redness and swelling around the area, and may see traces of your stencil, but those will subside within 24-hours.
Aftercare Plan

STEP FIVE

With your approval, we’ll take photos and/or video to document your fresh artwork. We’ll apply your bandage (with Soothing Gel in most cases) and go over your Aftercare Plan. Vibing for a bit is also common. ☺
